Odds & Ends

A few odds and ends – NESOP Grads have sent to me lately:

First a website called Kickstarter.  Billed as a “new way to fund and follow creativity,” the website allows you to post information about a project or contribute to an arts related project – a great new way to get a grassroots grant! They do however run on an “all or nothing” policy – so unless a project gets fully funded no money changes hands.  Kickstarter explains that the policy means you won’t have to complete a project on half the funds necessary.

Which brings us to the grad that brought the site to my attention: Aaron McElroy (07).  He has a project that needs funding and he only has 8 days left to get enough backing! If you’re interested his project can be found here.

Caleb Cole

And speaking of projects, Caleb Cole’s (08)  series Other People’s Clothes opens next week at Gallery Kayafas.  The opening reception is next Friday September 10th from 5:30-8:00 pm.  Congrats to Caleb.
