Over one weekend in April each year, New England School of Photography offers an architectural photography shooting expedition in New York City. Accessible and vibrant, NYC is home to some of the most stunning and varied architecture in the United States. From early Gothic revival landscape to high-rise skyscrapers, NYC offers limitless shooting opportunities for the emerging and professional architectural photographer. On April 16th, 2010, Keitaro Yoshioka, his teaching assistant Ben Gebo and 5 NESOP professional photography program students, Ray Conway, Philipp Lehman, Rebecca MacPherson, Chelsey Rosengrant and Morgan Ione Yeager arrived in New York City to begin their weekend intensive expedition. These photographers scoured and climbed numerous stairs up rooftops to capture the distinct view, examined various restaurants with their lens to find that prefect shot, and were able to find the quirkiness in the heart of the busy city. The photographs from this trip will be on display in the New York City Architecture Exhibition from August 16th, 2010 – October 1st, 2010 at the Garner Center for Photographic Exhibitions.
