Vintage Fashion, Romantic Feel

Jennifer Keany – Second Year, Term 3 Work

The black and white image was shot at F/2.8 @1/6400s ISO 400 & converted to B&W in post production.

I was inspired by photographs I saw by my favorite photographer, Lara Jade. Her images had a very soft, romantic, vintage feel that appealed to me for this shoot.

The diptych : Full body was shot at f/2.8 @ 1/100s ISO 640; Close up was shot at f/2.8 @ 1/40s ISO 400

Each image was shot digitally with my Nikon D700 & 24-70mm f/2.8 lens without a tripod. After which I used Photoshop for my retouching needs.

The color single image was shot at f/2.8 @ 1/800s ISO 400

My goal after graduation is specializing in Advertising and Fashion photography.

Highlighting Color

Daniella A. Rascón – First Year, Term 1 Work

1. What is your intention behind this work/in making this work?

My intentions were to create an image that both satisfies my class requirements and really connects the viewer with the photograph. I wanted color to really be the highlight of these images.

2. What response do you hope to get from your viewers?

I hope to get a response similar to “where were you?”, or “wow, I wish I was there.” Most of all I hope the viewers appreciate the simple aspects in these photographs. I hope to have some viewers even saying “I want that on my wall.”

3. What other artists or art serve(s) as your inspiration?

Nature is my inspiration specifically for these photographs because it is always there waiting to be discovered and sometimes it might only show its true colors for a couple of minutes. I believe it is my job to capture those precious natural moments as best as I can.
